Registered Telecommunications Project Manager (RTPM)

To become a successful telecommunications project manager, individuals need a thorough understanding of ITS, personnel management and project management. RTPM exam candidates are tested on their ability to understand and apply a vast collection of telecommunications project management principles, concepts, tools and technology.

To sit for the RTPM credential examination, you must have:

A minimum of two years of approved and verifiable experience in Project Management, such as planning, execution and closing of any project.

The RTPM exam is based on content found in the Telecommunications Distribution Methods Manual (TDMM), 12th edition; Information Technology Systems Installation Methods Manual (ITSIMM), 6th edition; A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide); and Project Management: A Systems Approach to Planning, Scheduling, and Controlling. It is a 2 hours, 100 questions, closed-book and multiple choice exam
